Spur 16

Mequon, WI

Spur 16 is a mixed-use development that supplies multi-family housing to the Mequon Town Center through adaptive re-use of existing historic buildings. The luxury townhomes and updated apartments are located close to many local eateries and shopping centers as well as Mequon Community Park and the Ozaukee Interurban Trail. They come complete with a pool, fitness center, and a community clubhouse.

D Street Housing

Sacramento, California

These two-story homes are part of a revitalization project close to downtown Sacramento. The cluster of homes features eight individual units, each with sliding glass-doors to a small yard and patio behind the home. The interior opens into a living space, kitchen and dining area downstairs with the second floor holding an open study and three bedrooms. Use of cantilevered building elements gave the street-side view of these homes a unique appearance.

The Flats on Church Street (Door County)

Egg Harbor, Wisconsin

These four 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartments feature large sliding glass doors that open up to a private patio. With a contemporary design, visitors are treated to modern accommodations in the historic Door County setting.

Block 27

Sacramento, CA

Sitting on a lot that lies between a dense residential district to the south and an industrial district to the north, this four-unit apartment building takes cues from both to create a unique transitional point between the two distinct styles of building design. The four 2-3 bedroom apartment units share a rooftop terrace on the third floor overlooking the cityscape to the east, as well as a bike/scooter parking area on the first level of the building facing the street.

Lac La Belle Condominiums

Oconomowoc, WI

This 5-story, 75,000 square foot condominium complex consists of 2 five story towers overlooking the beautiful Lac La Belle in Oconomowoc, WI. The towers are connected by a below grade parking lot, and offer uninterrupted views of the lake. The complex is mere steps away from numerous shops and restaurants, and has pier access just across the back lawn.

The Griot Apartments

Milwaukee, WI

Multi-story wood apartment building sits atop steel beams and columns which provide large expansive spaces for America’s Black Holocaust Museum below. This new building will anchor a prominent corner in the Bronzeville neighborhood and encourage further redevelopment in the area.

Garfield School Redevelopment

Milwaukee, WI

Built in 1887 and designed by locally recognizable architect Henry C. Koch, this historic building is located in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Milwaukee. After housing many schools, most recently the Garfield Avenue School until 2006, Maures Development Group has re-purposed for affordable housing while maintaining the rich character of the building and surrounding neighborhood.

2018 Mayor Design Awards

Keystone on Brady

Milwaukee, WI

The Keystone on Brady is a new 38,600 sq ft mixed use building that features 22 apartment units in the historic district of the lower east side. The structure consists of cast-in-place concrete basement walls with precast concrete columns and plank that support the upper level wood bearing walls and wood floor/roof trusses.

Gold Medal Lofts

Racine, WI

This 111,000 square foot remodel turned what was previously a 120-year old Gold Medal Furniture Manufacturing Plant into a 77-unit apartment complex featuring a mix of studio, one, two, and three bedroom rentals. The development was designed to keep to the industrial feel of the original building by refurbishing existing brick walls and timber columns, and through the use of high ceilings with exposed metal piping.

Riverheath - Willow

Appleton, WI

This over 200,000 square foot mixed-use building called "Willow" contains over 108 studio, one, two, and three bedroom units with underground parking, office, retail, and entertainment areas for residents. Retail and office tenants in the new building include a variety of small businesses from fine jewelry to digital marketing.

Element 84

West Allis, WI

This mixed-development project consists of over 200 units in a four-story apartment building with retail space on the first level and underground parking. Community features include a private courtyard with pool and grill stations, a fitness room, business center, and a rooftop club room with an outdoor terrace overlooking Historic West Allis.

Sheboygan Falls Housing

Sheboygan Falls, WI

In order to bring new housing to Sheboygan Falls, this project repurposed an existing middle school building into a new apartment complex, home to Berkshire Communities Independent Senior Apartments. The apartment complex features an auditorium, lounge, and gymnasium for residents, promoting inclusion, security, and and a sense of community.

 

Green Bay Veterans Apartments

Green Bay, WI

This three-story, 46,000 square foot apartment complex consists of a conventional wood framed superstructure bearing on a precast concrete podium slab.  The $7.5 million project includes 50 apartments dedicated to Veterans, below grade parking, an activity center and business center.

Brass Works Apartments

Delavan, WI

This 102,000 square foot remodel takes a 75-year old industrial building and turns it into 73 loft-style apartments. The project keeps that industrial-feel inside each apartment with it’s large windows, exposed timber supports, high ceilings with exposed piping, and even some concrete flooring.

9th & Broadway

SACRAMENTO, CA

9th & Broadway features seventeen duplex homes within three separate buildings totaling over 35,000 square feet. The community center has a private garden courtyard, providing a sense of private serenity in the urban Sacramento setting.
